I'm evaluating replacing my Bushnell HDMR H59 with a different optic. This is running on a JP LRP-07 .308 w/ 20" barrel. I like the size of the scope, the reticle is growing on me, and I think the magnification is acceptable; mainly shooting 300-800 with some playing out as far at 1000. The one thing that I'd like to have, especially with the Minnesota winter approaching, it an illuminated reticle thinking it would help me with low light / bad weather shooting on my rural 600y range, and finally, zero stops would be appreciated.
I think the 'perfect' scope for me would be what I have with illumination, there are many things I like about the HDRM. I'm willing to increase price, and consider another reticle... but the 'Christmas tree' reticle is proving quite effective for followup shots in poor conditions.
With that said, what would you recommend I take a look at?
