So I’m looking to switch up my current optic from a Gen 2 Rzr 4.5-27 to something different but don’t know what direction to head. I was thinking about playing with the XRS3 with the EQL reticle, but haven’t heard much in regards to people’s opinions on the newer stuff from Bushnell, but I’m open to suggestions in that price range.

I'd pass on that XRS3. I liked the reticle but the glass was not up to par. What you have is better.

    Look at:
    Zeiss S3
    Burris Pro
    Steiner T6Xi
    Tract Toric ELR

Personally, I love my xrs3, and I don't think you can beat it if you can find one around the 1k-1100 price point. If you want to spend more, the other suggested options are great as well.

    Mixed reports about G3s? Weird.

    I’d get a G3, LRPS3, or Theos.

    Real weird.

I have 3 and don't belive I'm leaving anything on the table. Excellent scopes and even more amazing when I got my last 2 from the "scammer" under 2000 made the decision a no Brainer.

    Gen2 isn't anywhere close to the Gen3's. I sold both my Gen2's after my 1st Gen3

I run all Gen II Razors on my match guns, a buddy came over with his gun that has a Gen III Razor and let me set the scope up to my eye. Put both of them on tripods side by side so I could go from one to the other. Looking at a tree that was 742 yards away I was blown away by how much better the Gen III was. My next scope is definitely going to be a Gen III .

Different league. That's why I sold my 3 Gen2's after buying my first Gen3 and now have 3 Gen3's... about to buy 2 more and sell both my Gen2 Cronus BTR's

I will say there are some big upgrades available over a gen2. Nothing wrong with a desire to get that. The gen3 razor is a good solid scope. The xrs3 you're speaking off is out classed by the cronus Btr at the same price point. Do you need 30+ magnification? Likely not. The S3 zeiss is a good option if you can work the bulky reticle. To upgrade from your razor, you're gonna have to spend more than what your current scope is worth, that means over 2000$ if buying new.

Gen 3 Vortex is a fantastic scope. Better than the Gen 2 on all accounts. Gen2 is better than any scope I used for snipe ops so it is all getting out of hand on needing better. lol.
C’mon bruh. I’m sure all of us on SH are so high speed that our drag coefficient is like -2000 pascal/Kelvins.

We MUST see the hairs on the bumblebee anuses!!! Our practiscore is at stake here man!!!
