Does anyone know where to get a carry handle similar to the one in the picture? I found this image on Instagram of all places and tracked this particular model down to a company in Europe. Unfortunately it looks like they don’t sell to the US. Google did not turn up anything similar.

I’m hoping to put one on my 338 to make that 20lb bear a little easier to lug around.

Some ideas come, built and fade pretty quick after conception . I think XLR had some Pic's running around here several years ago also, of a under the chassis carry handle on one of there large magnum frames .
.

Why not just use a sling? Seriously, let that rifle ride on your whole torso.

*BUT WAIT! THERES MORE!*

A proper sling can be used as a shooting aid when there are few or possibly no other means of getting off a supported shot on a stable surface.

Hi,

Under barrel carry handles suck, there is a reason that the ones designed for specific firesrms will normally allow the handle to rotate to the top of the rifle.

The entire balance, swing and movement of under barrel carry handles that do not rotate over to the top just plain and simple socks.

Sincerely,
Theis

I hear what you are saying Theis, and I considered this before deciding on a carry handle of this style. On my particular rifle, the center of gravity is just a few inches forward of where the receiver ends and the handguard begins. This would be exactly where I would plan on mounting the handle, so it should balance fairly well unless I'm missing something.

Candyx, I came across the Barret style and am considering it. I think it would probably work well and also rotate to the top like Theis was saying.

Could just make your own, unless you want the fancy points. I’ve built my own weight kits for my rifles because paying for the other ones is like daylight robbery. Could throw something together.
