So I am getting near dialed but still need some more trigger time behind my 16" 308 AR w/MK6 3-18x glass. The next logical step is training, me and a buddy are looking to start doing this come around Spring of 2014. I would love to get to know how to really use my Ar10 from the pros but not sure which course's I should take.

I am not really concerned about shooting pistol in the same class at the moment but would like to do that in the future but want to focus on rifle now. If me and a buddy drive out from California we are looking at a minimum 3 day if not 5 day class to get the most bang for our travel buck. Their is so many classes on the RO schedule I am not sure which to take. We are beginners to the training world and I would love to learn from people that are in the field who know their stuff.

Lastly I am not opposed to another venue for training.

I have taken and would recommend the Precision Rifle I&II course at Riles Only. It is a 5 day course Mon-Fri. I think it's on Jacob's calendar for the end of Feb 2014. I did it in the middle of May. By the end of May south TX heats up. Jacob has a bunk house on property or there are hotels in Kingsville about 20 min's from Rifles Only. The Holiday Inn Express was good and conveniently located.

Out of 12 guys in the class, one shot a gas gun. You will shoot from 100 out to 1000 yards. Don't let the fact that you are a beginner discourage you. Jacob is very big on fundamentals which are easier to teach to those without bad habits.

Sounds like PR I &II would be perfect for you. I highly recommend getting trained by the guys at Rifles Only. They are amazing instructors with a great facility. I was there for several weeks in August a few years ago. Best training I've had, even with the crazy heat. Besides range time I would also recommend practice dry firing with your rifle, to include alternate positions. This is great practice for any marksman. Good luck.
