Range Report Looks like some bad hornaday ammo.

Initially chalked the recoil feel up to the lighter stock. Then this happened. After using the table to knock it loose I noticed it wasn’t the only bad one. I emailed hornaday to see if maybe there’s a bad lot out there, so hopefully when they’re open again we’ll see.

I had a couple light strikes in my FNX40 using Hornady critical duty ammo. Guess They need to retrain their QC dept.

I've sent ammo back to Hornady after contacting them about pressure issues. They were very good about paying shipping, and sending replacement ammo.

Give them a call today and have the ammo there as they might want the lot number. They will take care of you and get the ammo checked out.

Sure no moisture or oil made its way into the striker channel? That's a common problem.

Who did you talk to when you called?

A bit worrisome, especially considering that it is TAP ammo, it would really suck to carry that as a duty round and have that shit happen in the middle of a firefight.
