LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
NOVEMBER 27, 2023
A prominent Los Angeles area social justice activist Michael Latt, 33, who founded and headed the super-woke organization "Lead With Love" was found mortally wounded in his driveway from a gunshot wound. The shooter was a homeless woman and drug addict identified as 36 year old Jameelah Elena Michl, who was known to live in her car and frequently steal from residents and businesses in the area. She had been trying to break into Latt's house when the scuffle broke out and was taken into custody by LAPD.
Investigators are trying to find out if Latt and Michl knew each other and Michl had been one of the people Latt had tried to help in the past, but from already present details, it looks like Michl had known that Latt was a woke activist and very anti-gun so there would be little possibility that he would be armed, and chose his place to break in out of convenience and opportunity. Many LA residents are already on edge after a rash of break ins starting in 2022 and after the wild caught-on-camera shootout between another LA homeowner and attempted burglars from earlier in this month had went viral online, criminals are now seeking targets that they know will likely not be armed and least likely to fight back.
