The Agency has been extremely thrown-off base from Trump’s first term, where he relied more on private and DoD intelligence, vs the purposely-flawed PDB influenced by Langley.
We could go on about Yellow Cake, WMD, Assassination of the Diem brothers, Castro, JFK, Nixon set-up, Iran-Contra, shutting down of ABLE DANGER, and scores of cases where the CIA blatantly acted against US interests.
They lost a lot of power under Trump 1, and aren’t about to go out without a fight.
This fits in perfectly with their MO. They simply can’t be trusted with National Intelligence gathering, analyzing, processing, and disseminating. The good work of people who thought they were doing all that in the Agency is undermined by mid and senior-level leadership as policy, and always has been that way since 1947.

For one, it probably violates the records preservation rules.
That said, it is probably more secure than leak-riddled .gov channels.
So not saying they shouldn't have been using it to avoid being hacked by their own bureaucracy. But it's not a good look!
Fortunately, caught early and fast and nothing egregious was released.
But once again, the Swamp is going to claw and bite... until it is 100 percent exterminated. With extreme prejudice.
