How well do the low profile adjustable blocks work? Do they stay put? As in not adjust itself after continuous fire or over time? I was looking are PRIs low pro adjustable gas block but its adjusted by an allen screw or something. Im not sure if I would like to rely on that. Who all makes low pro adj blocks? Anyone here have them on their rifles? The application is an Armalite AR-10 308

Re: Low profile Adjustable gas blocks

Check out JP- I'm running one of their aluminum railed gas block- I put a dab of blue loctite on the allen screw; hasn't moved yet (about 500rds). That one is in aluminum, I have on in steel and an A2 front sight post style as well; those are unused. The only one I have not had my hands on that JP makes is the low profile version. Check Brownells

I also do not like the Allen Screw style adjustment gas blocks.

Check out Teppo Jutsu on the "Whats New" page , lots of good reviews about them, but I haven't bought mine yet. I was told they can make different styles like a knurled adjustment screw like the SuperSASS utilizes.

ADJUSTABLE GAS BLOCKS
These blocks have 3 positions to allow full, partial or minimal gas flow to the receiver. The Gen 4 blocks will completely shut off gas flow and are currently in testing stages. The blocks are available for 0.750, 0.875 and 0.936 size gas block journals and in stainless as well as CrMo steel (parkerized).

Once you have the gas system adjusted to where you want it ...... loctite the screw and stake it in place and you wont have to worry about it changing. Once the system is set there really is no need to keep adjusting it.

I have the JP low-pro and its not as 'low-pro' as some other blocks on the market. It won't fit under DD lite rails, just a heads up if this idea is running through your head like it did mine.
