So I ran a ladder the other day on my 6 dasher with 105 jlk’s with varget and imr 4166. From there I loaded five each:
Imr 4166 32.5 grains
.010 and .018 jump
Varget 32.6 grains
.010 and .018 jump
The varget loads are by far the lowest sd/es I’ve had before. The 4166 es/sd is more “typical” of what I get/run 10-15 usually.
Shot these groups at 510 yds with a light but switchy breeze prone off of a bipod and rear bag.
AIAX 24” barrel 7.5 twist
I’m leaning towards the 4166 .018 jump but just curious your guys thoughts are? Or does the varget load need more seating depth tests done?
Guess it makes me believe one style LD isn’t always going to work for every barrel......
