Hi there. I'm looking to buy a new varment riffle as well as get into some long range shooting. im looking at .243 but im not sure what to look for. makes and models would be much appreciated. definatly looking to upgrade as well with after market parts and stock. any sugestions? thnx for ur info!

There's many good ones, it depends greatly on your budget.243 is a great caliber for what you've stated,I wouldn't go nuts on expense as it ain't necessary.Any good bolt Savage or Remington( just to name a few)will do the job.Both companies make them in dedicated varmint guns that will be extremely accurate at most any range the cartridge will work at .Welcome to the 'hide and do fill out your profile completely.

Several modeles is well but my preference goes for two modeles :remington 700 vls and savage 12lrvp in 22-250
