LRI RPR Barrel Wrench: 1

If there was ever any question to the strength/ability of our RPR Barrel Wrench Tool, I think this settles it. lol.

Hey,
Your RPR barrel nut tool is a great tool.
It broke my vise…
This was using an RPR action rod rather than a barrel vise. Since the action rod didn’t fill in the full length of the vise jaws it allowed the jaws to twist and flex enough for the cheap casting to snap.
Picked up a larger vise that held much better, but it still would not budge.
On your suggestion from Facebook posts, I dremel’ed a few relief cuts. I ended up needing three of them to get it to break.
I was using your RPR barrel nut tool and it did not slip at all, through all of that torque. I was using a 36”-ish breaker bar, no cheater. I was trying to keep the torque as low as I could.
It held extremely well with basically just a finger tight and a little half turn on the bolt.
Ruger really needs to lighted up on the torque.
