in the title. Or any other manufacturer's surefire mounts for that matter. Having a direct offset attachment to keymod/mlok would really sell me on it.

Ok, so here is what I can tell you. The Luna holes are say 28 mm apart. Not sure what the Surefire are. But for me I use Surefire switch's on the back and when I change a battery I do not like to have to pull the male pressure switch Crane/Lead out of the female Surefire DS00 socket simply because this causes wear and can make the male and female parts become sloppy where they may easily disconnect.

All of that being said I like to use the Luna Mount on a pic rail or 45 degree mount so that I can undo the Luna Mount and screw the Luna/Surefire adapter off of the Luna threads such that I can change the battery without putting wear on my Surefire Switch socket and male pressure pad end.

Now if the Surefire or Arisaka mount is spaced a little bit different you might be able to use one of its existing holes and drill a new hole in that mount to fit the Luna holes.

Access, improvise, overcome. :)

Since you've got the hardware... would you mind measuring the diameter of the body for me? Arisaka makes 1'' light clamps too

@jeffl838 Man I hate to bust your bubble, but I really don't think mounting it in 1" Arisaka Light Clamp or any other clamp type light mount is really going to work. The Luna Body is just not a perfectly round body without obstacles.

In the second photo you see some "Lightning Cut" molded into the barrel of the body and also you have the Rheostat in the way plus you have the female thread inserts in the way as show in my previous post photos.

I personally think you can pretty much ditch using any kind of clamp light type setup. Just don't think there is anything production wise out there that would do it. However, I guess you could bust out the "old Dremel" and do some good old "redneck redesigning" LOL. Lord knows I have done enough of that.

What type of application are you trying to set up. Slave it to an existing LAM or use it as an Illuminator for a NV Scope setup.

You could stack a few small flat washers etc and get some longer bolts for the Luna to match how many flat washers you might have to stack.

That should raise your Luna tail end up enough to clear if need be.

Anything new out? I just got the Luna and would really love an offset mount, when I first looked at the Luna base I thought, “please be the same width as Surefire” but Luna used their own proprietary pattern as indicated above. Was hoping to use the Arisaka Surefire offset mount but at 21mm wide there is not enough to drill another hole or two new holes to make the 28mm distance the Luna needs.

I simply made an adapter plate and drilled the plate for screws to use a LaRue mount. Take a piece of flat Al, drill it for the existing screws, make it long enough to put the new mount screws in and you are all set.
Good idea, so if I get an offset plate and still holes, not the best looking but should work

You could hook the ELIR Pic mount to this rail and have a QD mount. It might stick up further than you want?

i know it also comes in a 3 Slot version as well options FDE or Black/Std Lever or Tactical Lever, I think in Titanium lever too?

I looked but I couldn’t find the 3 Slot version on their website? I have one though?

Here is a picture with the ADM 3 Slot 170 Tactical Lever Mount attached to the ELIR-3 Pic mount. Not perfect, but it’s one solution?

Just for those that find this thread later like I did. The whole spacing lines up with the Steiner laser pattern (just not the center rail). So mounts for those should be relatively easily modified for the Luna elir. Have a Unity fusion that works with this; though due to the oral right offset the Luna has to be to the left side.

Screw’s obviously are different, m3x6 to 8mm worked for me.

Do you mean something like this?

Yeah something like that I tried with the Unity fusion hub and the the hole spacing works in the same slot as the otal c. I will take a picture later, the pic rail comes off the lina but does not slide in the slotted area….sits flush on top.

I will take it off the rail and get a better picture tomorrow but this is on the Unity fusion micro hub
