I came up with this a few weeks ago, and originally posted it to SC to help people choose a base/ring combination for their rifle, its a spreadsheet tool that will give you an approximate clearance between your barrel and the objective bell of your scope and optic center to bore center measurement. I make no promises if the measurements are accurate because I'm deployed and can't measure my rifle, and I'm basing all of the included measurements off of catalogs and websites.

The link is: Lurch's Scope Fitter

I uploaded it to google drive so it does not have to be downloaded to use, just click on the icon and click open at the bottom right corner, you do not need a google account to view/use it either. I have not figured out how to protect the sheets and still allow use of the drop down menus or manual entry boxes, so if you use it please return it to the default settings when your done. Instructions are included in the spreadsheet and a separate Read Me file, I've tried to make them as simple as I could.

There are two files named "Lurch's Scope Fitter v2", I added the second one in case multiple people are trying to use the tool at the same time. Also there is a short questionnaire to help me improve the tool.

I hope this helps at least a few people, and I plan on keeping it updated as often as I am able to.

v2 changes:
- added sloped base formula, tool will now calculate for sloped bases
- added help boxes to drop down menus
- protected formulas and reference sheets
- updated Read Me file
- checked spelling
