I’m an Old Tennessee wannabe shooter. After watching a rimfire forum slowly disintegrate to a few self proclaimed Oracles, I figured I will do myself a favor and take a break from it. A forum where a member with over 55,000 posts must be sucked up to is tiring. I am not an expert of anything, but when truth must be stifled to stay in good graces with members and moderators, as well as merchandise vendors, I must give myself a break from the stress.
Enough about that. I hope to glean knowledge here from good old honest “tell it like it is ” rimfire shooters.
I want to be an active member in a forum where there are no stupid questions, and one member is not the only self proclaimed person that knows anything about rimfire. I truly enjoy a good battle of wits, but I refuse to play with an un-armed person on a public forum............LOL !
Sorry for the introductory rant.
My interests are informal shooting ( at this time ) of .22 rifles and pistols. I absolutely enjoy getting out a couple of vintage rifles and shooting for a couple of hours. I like getting the single action .22LR revolvers out and playing.
My short term goal is to get a couple of rigs ready to run and be able to spend some time flinging lead with the silly wet shooters. If I can get my 70 year old carcass in shape to hit the steel animals, I will be a satisfied old man.
If I feel confident enough to be factual about a subject, I will share what information I can muster from my mini brain. I hope I haven’t started out on the wrong side of anyone here.
Now, it’s time to read and learn. I see that a guy posts here with the moniker “ kissofdeath” . He is a straight shooter I saw on the other forum. I like getting reading his posts, but I sure as heck ain’t gonna kiss him!
