GunFighter Fundamentals is an introduction to AR platforms and firearms safety with an emphasis in the following disciplines: Introspective and ambient safety considerations, AR familiarity, weapons manipulation, fundamental marksmanship and zeroing, preventive maintenance and introduction to cover-based shooting (CBS)
End-state:
Shooters will be able to safely employ their weapons in controlled environments and comprehend CBS by utilizing the fundamentals learned in Gun Fighter Fundamentals. The CBS techniques learned in GFF will be the foundation for the rest of the Gunfighter series and can be applied to individual and co-operational threat mitigation. Shooters will have the confidence of continuity of training by the practice techniques learned in GFF. Each qualified shooter will receive a certificate of completion along with opportunities throughout the course to complete challenges earning an MOA Mastery Coin.
Student Expectations:
This course is for everyone, the beginner / novice shooter as well as the more experience individuals. This is the first in a series of courses for shooter looking to master the art of urban carbine shooting. Less experienced shooters can expect a safe, controlled environment, a very devoted training cadre and a course chalk full of information meant to explain the art and science of CBS. Experienced shooters can expect to learn more detailed fundamentals and gain the urban shooting skill-set. All shooting in this class is done in 2 ways; on-line static or individual movement. This is to insure training does not conflict with safety.

Pre-Requisites:
Must be respectful of the weapon system and be willing to challenge yourself. Students are advised that there will be zero tolerance for unsafe or reckless behavior, and any shooter deemed unsafe will forfeit their course fee and will be excused from the course. Please understand that this is not a basic course. It is introductory to a skill set. Safety will always be paramount.
Training Hours: 2 Days.
Day 1- 8am-30 minutes after dusk.
Day 2- 8am-2pm. Teach-backs will be performed from 2:30-5:00pm by students wishing to do so. Instructors will stay on station until all students have retired for the day.
Student gear Requirements:
Hearing/eye protection
Exposure protection.
Sunscreen is suggested;
Food and water for 2 days;
Rifle
Kit load out (Mag Pouches,chest rigs, plate carriers…etc, students preference)
Minimum 300 rounds for Primary Weapon System
Other weapons may be brought for free shoot at the end of training each training day
Note taking gear
Inclement weather clothing (Rain or shine);
Small Arms Protective Insert Plates (SAPIs) are optional but not required
