GUNFIGHTER FUNDAMENTALS:
Gun Fighter Fundamentals is an introduction to AR platforms and firearms safety with an emphasis in the following disciplines: Introspective and ambient safety considerations, AR familiarity, weapons manipulation, fundamental marksmanship and zeroing, preventive maintenance and introduction to cover-based shooting (CBS)
End-state:
Shooters will be able to safely employ their weapons in controlled environments and comprehend CBS by utilizing the fundamentals learned in Gun Fighter Fundamentals. The CBS techniques learned in GFF will be the foundation for the rest of the Gunfighter series and can be applied to individual and co-operational threat mitigation. Shooters will have the confidence of continuity of training by the practice techniques learned in GFF. Each qualified shooter will receive a certificate of completion along with opportunities throughout the course to complete challenges earning an MOA Mastery Coin.
Student Expectations:
This course is for everyone, the beginner / novice shooter as well as the more experience individuals. This is the first in a series of courses for shooter looking to master the art of urban carbine shooting. Less experienced shooters can expect a safe, controlled environment, a very devoted training cadre and a course chalk full of information meant to explain the art and science of CBS. Experienced shooters can expect to learn more detailed fundamentals and gain the urban shooting skill-set. All shooting in this class is done in 2 ways; on-line static or individual movement. This is to insure training does not conflict with safety.

Safety Considerations with Firearms; Reactive Body/Self-Assessment; Weapon Manipulation; Cover Based Shooting Positions; Marksmanship Skills; Zeroing; Preventive Maintenance; Kit options and load out; Training Continuity; intro to low-light shooting
GUNFIGHTER EVOLUTION:
Designed to integrate fundamental Cover Based Shooting (CBS) within the following disciplines: Ambidextrous Cover Based Shooting (CBS), operational space employment, fundamental individual movement skills
End-state:
By completing this course, shooters will have a better understanding of the operation space and how best to deploy their skills in it. Shooters will gain confidence in their urban carbine skills and be able to conduct individual battle drills with safety and knowledge
Student Expectations:
This is the second in a series of courses for shooters looking to master the art of urban carbine shooting. Safety is paramount for our students; however, the transfer of information and application of these methodologies should only be practiced in a controlled environment. Because of the physical nature of this course, each student can expect individual instruction to customize CBS to each shooter. All shooting in this course will be done from either barricades, while moving and from CBS positions. This is to insure training does not conflict with safety.
Disciplines:
ambidextrous cover based shooting, break contact and closure techniques, shooting while moving, trigger manipulation, low-light engagement/movement
Day 1- 9am-5pm. Day 2- 9am- An hour after dark. Day 3- 9am- 2pm. Teach-backs will be performed from 2:30-5:00pm by students wishing to do so. Instructors will stay on station until all students have retired for the day.
Student gear Requirements:
Hearing/eye protection
Exposure protection
Sunscreen is suggested
Food and water for 2 days
Carbine
Full Individual load out (mag pouches,chest rigs, plate carriers…etc, students preference)
Minimum 400 rounds for Primary Weapon System; pistols are welcome for transitions but not required
Note taking gear
Inclement weather clothing (multiple target engagements)
Pre-Requisites:
Safety will always be paramount. Rain or shine); Small Arms Protective Insert Plates (SAPIs) are optional but not required
Agency and group pricing is available upon request.
Because continuation of training is of the highest priority of MOA, any student may return for the course(s) they have already completed with MOA at no charge.

*Each student will be provided a student handout and Certification of Completion. Cleaning kits will be provided for student use - students may keep the solvent and cleaners; but are required to return the actual kit.
**Students are advised that there will be zero tolerance for unsafe or reckless behavior; and any shooter deemed unsafe will forfeit their course fee and will be excused from the course.
