M1 Garand Options?

Re: M1 Garand Options?

CMP is a great option.

Also, check with Dean at Dean's Gun Restorations (DGR). He has been working on Garands for a looong time and he does excellent work. Occassionally, he has some for sale and they are excellent. Here is a link to his site:

You also will find good ones for sale here once in a while. You can try GunBroker, but caveat emptor. If you don't know much about Garands, be careful of GunBroker, etc. because there is some real junk floating around, including parts guns that are not properly assembled/headspaced/etc. and guns that are being blatantly misrepresented.

Re: M1 Garand Options?

I've seen a refurbished M1 Garand with USMC enscribed on the barrel, and a nice laminate stock on it.

Anyone ever see anything like that in their travels?

(BTW, thanks guys, I appreciate the input.)

I've considered CMP, but I'd rather just get it over with and get something not in battle condition...
