M110 SASS

So what does everyone have against this system?

The reason I ask is because I am in the military. I have to give this weapon to my shooters and tell them to learn it. I don't get a choice in the rifle that we get issued (Fucked up, huh.) I have shot this rifle in combat and garrison, and I honestly don't have too many complaints. That being said... I can hold sub .5 MOA with the new M14 EBR, and I LOVE that gun more than the M110. God bless Springfield Armory.

So the M110 SASS comes with the rifle, the D-kit, cleaning kit, hard case, soft case, drag bag, magazines, ect. so the cost is actually pretty comparative. So why all the haters?

I never used the current M110 SASS, but I do use the MK11 MOD 0 for my issued rifle. So between the two systems, not to many differences, and the role they play are almost the same.

Are there better systems out there? I say yeah. My personal GAP 10 rocks. Accurate as all heck. I use it to maintain my skills, from fundamentals to doing UKD.

Then again, dont we all have our personal preferences on what we want to use? Yup!

So since we both use issued weapons for duty purposes, all I can say about it.... it is what it is! Accept that the system is what is issued, designed to use M118 LR, and get the troops out and train to its effectiveness and improve their skill set with it.

My issued MK11 MOD 0 is a good system and is accurate, better than what it was designed for. So I train more and more and get better employing it.

Could you build one less expensively than to buy it will all the stuff that comes with it? I just want the rifle.

Yep, that's my only complaint too. The price. I really like the MK11's and the 110's

Don't mistake our laughing at the pricetag for "hate". The few KAC rifles I've seen have been good rifles and I would love to have one of the new 16" carbines...but not for 4500 bucks!
