Depends on year.

'99, '01 M118LR I had was in the 43 to 43.4 gr range.
'03 M118LR I had was in the 42 to 42.3gr range.

Please, where are you getting this? I've asked two others who are quoting this.

I spoke with the product/test manager at Picatinny Arsenal, and according to him it was downloaded specifically by request of the Marines (the original customer) to match the BDC of the Unertl USMC 10X sniper telescope -- not due to damage to M14s.

If you have a DOD Ammunition Safety-of-Use warning for the M-14/M-21/M-25 please post it.

my brother in law who was in Iraq 03/04 told me. his buddy was in the armory and said it was screwing up the op rods so bad they started using regular ball. he also said it was almost tearing off the rims of the cases.
