M24 scope question

Hi all, I recently acquired this L&S Ultra M3-A scope basically because I need the early Ultra rings for an XM-25 project. I intended to grab the rings, strip the paint, then sell the scope as-is. Correct mil-dot, 1991, M118 CW, etc.

After seeing the paint job I feel bad about breaking it up as planned. What do you think? Crime against the hobby or just do it? Ugh… thanks

It’s not a Unertl with history. No idea who painted that but my 6yr old could do better. Lol. No shame at all in my opinion.

Leave it as is. My unertl 10x’s still wear the same paint the last usmc sniper painted them… do they match ??? Not at all…. But there’s no way I’d strip them
