Good evening gents & Happy Veterans Day! I have been looking around the web for info on M276 dim tracer 7.62x51 ammunition. I have a 50 cal ammo can full of this stuff (right at 500 rounds iirc) and figured I would ask you guys what this ammo might be worth to shooters that could use it? I see some crazy ridiculous prices on ammo websites like $5/round for it but there's no damn way it's worth that. Just trying to gauge a fair and reasonable price per round before I post some of it up for sale on here in the next couple of days. Thanks in advance!

Idk. I've got a bunch and it's niche. Unless your shooting under nods it's just fmj with the potential to start fires.
What color tip? Brown?

Small market for that. Few guys that are doing machine gun shoots and larpers. Doesn't really have much of a purpose outside of military operations.

This stuff is purple tip, all LC 98 to 03 brass. Yeah we shot some on steel with clip on NV out to 400 or 500 yards & it was a riot, but it wasn't too dry out either lol... Always thought it would be fun to try NV hog hunting with some of this stuff but most places it would probably be too much of a wildfire risk. Would make for some wild footage I imagine!

OK, I've got the same stuff. I bought mine awhile back and I think it was 70-80 cents a round. I think 90 cents a round isn't terrible. But I'm cheap haha. If you find someone that wants it for shooting under nods maybe 1.00 a round?

I really like showing young and new shooters that the bullet doesn't stop when it hits something with tracers. It definitely opens their eyes and I feel they understand external ballistics better. The dim rounds would be good for introducing new shooters to night vision too I suppose.

Yessir I agree on that, definitely clicks when that red stream just keeps on trucking... Sometimes in a crazy direction depending on the target too!

I went ahead and listed my ammo in the PX this morning, figured I'd try $1.25/round & see what happens. Still hard to believe there's people on the web & GunBroker asking $5/round for this stuff.

I've seen the bases of tracers pop off the round quite often. It's rarely the entire bullet you see go flying.

Someone will buy them. Tracers are like a lot of things, really cool until they're boring.
