I'm looking at a mcmillan m40a3 stock but it's cut for DD Ross, I'd rather have a badger bottom metal. My question is, is the dd ross too different from badger to actually make the badger work in the DD inlet?
The DD Ross bottom metal is slightly shorter in length from the badger M5. Like 1/8” shorter. You can definitely use the badger in place of the dd Ross. Your gunsmith will just need to remove about a 1/16” of an inch on the front and back side of the stock cutout to make it fit. Extremely easy to do
