"Mag-Pul PRS Elevated Rear Bag Riding Bar"
PRSERBRB
My former post:
"Greetings,
I have a PRS stock on my AR. It has a weaver/Pic rail on the bottom rear of the stock. My only complaint with the stock is the rear bottom is level, so their is no elevation to be gained/lost by moving the rear bag forward or backward. Not good for belly shooting off a 'pod.
Sure, I have converted to bag squeezin, but it brings in horizontal stringing.
I'm either going to make a sloped bag riding bar that attaches to the pic section, or go with a mono-pod.""
****************************************************
So I made it. I started out with a Leapers brand one-piece AR flat top scope mount. $13.
can be had here
Machined the rings off on a 10 degree angle "nothing" on the thin side to "whatever" dimension on the tall side"
Took a 1" steel bar (wanted the weight of steel for 1000yd. shooting) and machined it in half axially.
Drilled tapped and assembled it to the scope mount. Gave $10 to the shop owner for the steel, 2 screws and letting me come make whatever, whenever, no question asked. A little rattle-can art and I'm fixed for $23.
