Finally got my Gen 1 TBAC U7 in hand after a 13 month wait. Went to the range today and my 6.5 and 300 wsm wouldn’t read anything with my MS sporter. No surprise, so I’m stuck buying a new bayonet for $175 or buying a mounting system at a similar price point. Since both rifles are in XLR chassis’, I’m thinking the various mounting systems would be the wisest investment.
So, any pros or cons with going with the wiser vs the mk machining versions?

I was in a similar boat to you when I put together a mount using 15mm light weight rods. I had most of the parts already but if you buy everything it's not that much cheaper than the off the self options.
Here's the thread I made back when I put it together. magneto sporter mount
Sorry if this doesn't help

I have a Wiser and it works great. No experience with the MK mount.

I'm 100% certain you will be satisfied with my mount. You will find superior rigidity and amount of adjustment. If made in the USA is a selling point for you, ours are machined in the US, from US materials.
Well, I didn’t wait long and decided to buy yours anyway so once it gets here I should be set. I do always appreciate USA made products and small business’, so thank you.

I use the mk mount on my foundation stock with a suppressor it works great. I changed out the steel rod with fiber glass one piece rod to be able to reach out in front of the suppressor. It’s lighter and plenty stiff just used it yesterday at the range.

Thank you! I have a centurion and just recently started using a suppressor, so was looking in to using this.

What's your return policy if it doesn't? since it's a maybe.

Curious to hear your review and experiences. I'm also in the market for a similar product, and have narrowed my searched on Wiser, MK Machining, and Grey Ops CNC.

I haven’t used it a ton but I do like the MK system. I’ll say this though, it didn’t register shots with the sporter bayonet. I had to cut about a 1/2” off the plastic of the bayonet for it to work with the mount and a can. Not an issue with a V3 bayonet.
Also, when I mount it to the rear of my bipod on the arca rail of my XLR chassis, I can’t deploy the bipod because of where the rod sits it blocks the legs from deploying fully. Because I have a chassis though I just added a pic rail to the side and mounted it there. Now I want to ditch the pic rail mount of my bipod and go arca Swiss. That way I can mount the bipod behind the mount and not interfere.

Otherwise it’s a solid way of having a chrono mounted to the gun without interfering with POI shifts. Does take a little to first set up.

Thank you for this. I too have an XLR chassis, and use a pic attachment to the MLOK for bipod. You read my mind when i was thinking about using the integrated ARCA rail for the bipod and using the MLOK/pic attachment on the side for thing like this (MK attachment).
