Any users of this chassis on here? Looking for some feedback/likes/dislikes/comments on quality. I have one on the way for my Bergara B14 Wilderness. I was able to score a new one for $430. The rifle is currently sitting in a HS stock with a Mathew’s fab adjustable cheek riser. I’m looking for improved ergonomics due to tendinitis in my elbow being exasperated by the angled/traditional grip on the HS stock. The Magpul chassis weighs 2lbs more than the HS stock, I’m really hoping to still pack this rifle in the field without it feeling too cumbersome. I use this rifle for western big game hunting and I’m hoping to dip my toes in the competition world in hopes of continuing to improve my practical marksmanship skills.

Picture is the rifle as it’s currently set-up

I don't have experience with the Pro Lite, but do have a Pro 700 chassis, which is the same chassis and grip but a different stock setup (and a fair amount heavier).

People talk alot of crap about the Pro 700 chassis but I and my shooting partners have found the ergos to be just as good as other chassis systems. The adjustability is very good. Your setup will gain a fair amount of weight and it change the balance as well. Up to you if this worth it for a different grip angle.

Thanks for the insight! I guess I’m not just switching to a chassis for the grip angle, the ability to easily install an arca rail and the adjustable LOP are also big selling points.

I am a little worried about the balance not feeling right as all the weight savings of the lite version come from the stock. I guess I’ll see how it feels when it arrives.

What are your thoughts on the build quality? Does it feel solid and does it seem well made?

I think when the chassis came out everyone thought that it was a budget product like the Hunter and was overpriced. Contrary to this I have found it very solid, adjustable, and robust. The folding mechanism on the Pro chassis locks up extremely tight with no wobble. I really don't have complaints. In terms of being easy to configure this will be no issue.

I ran a Pro for a while on a short 6.5cm. It felt a little clunky compared to an ATX chassis, but was built like a tank. I like that the stock folded over the bolt handle. Take the NV bridge on and off was a bit of a pain, but not an unbearable process. The grip adjustment was nice, similar to already having an MDT on it.

If you want a folder, I would go with this as a great budget option.
