Just looking at some chassis systems and saw the magpul pro and realized I’ve never seen anyone talk about them. Is it a bad chassis or just never really got the momentum after release? Not needing one at the moment but just curious and wanting to learn why

There was a thread in the Bolt Action section if I remember correctly. I do not think mine is a bad chassis at all. It has a good amount of adjustment and is very comfortable. I also haven't seen much other user info about it. I think most people are put off by the price. Somehow the hunter stock seems to dictate people's reasoning for what the price should be. I dont think most realize what the chassis is. Its an aluminum chassis with plastic skins essentially. Mine is very rigid and the lockup on the folder is great. I would say most people are used to paying reasonable prices for mass produced injection molded items from magpul and do not perceive this should be any different.

My only gripe with mine is with my 3 lug actions and feeding when pressure is put against the front of a mag. I also wish for a bigger stop/guard around the magwell.

I have one an can echo the above post. It's very well made and gives you a ton of adjustment. I have an Origin sitting in mine and have no issues with feeding. One thing I did notice is that my Accurate mags don't fit in it, but the Magpul P-Mags work and feed great. I picked up mine from Brownells for around $750.
