    Does Magpul make an ACS type stock for the SR 25? this is the one which is collasable and has the larger cheek rest with storage. Which one? Where to get this one?
    I put one of these on my Les Baer this weekend and it is very nice.
    Thank You

    You can run an standard ACS on your SR-25 with no problems. If you already have a collapsible stock on your rifle, just buy the appropriate ACS (mil-spec or commercial...should be mil-spec tube if it came from the factory). Pull the old stock off and put the ACS on. If you have a rifle/A2 type stock, you can still run the ACS as long as you:

    1) install a Carbine Receiver extension/Buffer tube;

    2) install the proper recoil spring; and

    3) install one of Slash's custom AR-10 type carbine buffers ( http://www.heavybuffers.com/ar10carbine.html ).

    The ACS will work on any AR-10/SR-25/LR-308/etc. rifle with those upgrades/parts.

    Since ORD covered the other questions, I've got a few left in stock (both milspec and commercial) and since I'm in MO, you won't have to wait long for it

    PX,
    I have the A2 type stock. Do you have all the things I will need to get it going. Black, or the dark Green will work.
    Thank you both.

    Yes, I have the stock and extension ready to go. You'd need the buffer and modified spring from the link that ORD posted.

    You'll also need a spanner wrench designed for installing the carbine receiver extension castle nut if you don't already have one. Check with Ty/MidwestPX and see if they have one available for purchase if you need one...that'll save you S&H from ordering from someone else.

    If they don't have one, you can get them from Brownell's, MidwayUSA...all the usual sources!

    If you have a genuine SR-25 may be worth calling KAC for their CAR buffer tube. They are longer than the AR-15 versions and allow use of normal buffer and spring. LMT does same with MWS so may call them as well.

    Darn you, Kevin!!! Almost every time you post a picture...it ends up costing me a bunch of money on new gear and another trip to the divorce attorney (which in turn costs even more money)!!

    All joking aside, that is an excellent looking EMC!

    I'm sure this isn't the case but beware of sellers selling knock-offs of Magpul products. When they arrive the easiest way to tell on the ACS is that the battery tube compartment covers on the originals are a rubber and the knock-offs are a plastic substance. They come in the same boxes with the same instructions and everything so be careful because there are a LOT of these out there.
