I found on their website that this course, I thinke it's the Carbine II course is coming to my area. I'm looking for a course that has some new ideas/concepts, drills and/or techniques that I can bring back to my team and department. Any info is appreciated. Thanks. S/F

I did a one day course in their preplanning stages (before the video they put put).

Chris Costa has some pretty good ideas, and makes things pretty simple for both the new shooter and the advanced shooter. While the class I participated in was for advanced shooters, it was pretty basic. Lots of moving and shooting, shooting and moving, positional shooting, transition work, etc.

The only thing to look out for at some of his classes are the gear queers.

If you can afford the tuition and the ammo (or your dept.) I say go for it. You won't regret it.

I ran a pistol class w/ Travis back in Sept 08. Great class, learned alot, will run more when they head back to my neck of the woods.

I took the advanced class in Houston last October with Travis Haley and Chris Costa instructing. I had taken the Thunder Ranch Urban Rifle Course in January of that year. The Magpul class was fast paced for me but I was able to keep up. It was a good class and it will let you know if you have the right equipment for a combat situation. After going through qualifications about a month ago, I felt I was more prepared than anyone else in my department. I would recommend taking it.
