Magpul flip up sight issue

I have a stag ar15 with a hogue handguard. It has the gasblock with a small piece of quadrail on the top of it and just your basic flat top, optics ready upper. I bought a pair of magpul flip up sights for back ups because there isn't room for anything else once my primary arms 1-8 with the Burris qd mount is on there...my issues is, when I tried to zero the little bastards in today, I literally ran out of adjustment. I'm guessing my first shot was at least 18" high and 6" right, by the time I had adjusted the front post to where I was almost zeroed in, it couldn't of had more than 1 or 2 threads left and was wobbling all over the place. The rear sight was almost maxed out to the left as well...
I was at 25 yards away, using match grade ammo, and was putting them where I wanted with the optic mounted. I have no clue what the issue is? Junk sights? Is there a different alternative? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for your time,

How tall is the quadrail in comparison to the flat top rail? Sounds like you need a taller gas block.

I have a set of the MBUS Pro Flip-Ups and not only is the rear sight pushed WAY far off to the left, the front sight seems to be ever so slightly canted, I can barely notice it but the post is off center when the rifle and rear sight is completely level. I don't know for sure if its the sights or my rail, but my rail appears level. Honestly I think I have to blame it on the sights being made to "mediocre" tolerances.
Luckily for me I am still able to zero so I didn't mess with it.
Are you able to maybe try those sights out on another rifle? And secondly, is the gas block and your receiver rail on the same plane? Those sights are most likely made to be used on rifles where the front and rear sight is sitting at the same height. Some gas block rails sit lower than the rail on the receiver, which would explain the super high POI.

Thanks for the replies. The rails look level to me but I'll take a closer look later. Sadly this is my only ar. A taller gas block might be an option! But what about other sights? Any ideas?

Never mind, I'm an idiot. Called stag, they pointed me in the direction of a Samson front sight designed for this set up

Take a look at these Troy sights. They are designed to mount on a low profile gas block.

Not to worry setup erors happen to all change a block or sight thats what makes ar rifles cool you can fix it yourself most of the time.
Magpuls are nice and accurate for the price, the troybuilt are way accurate i get moa at 100 and my son shoots them on plates to 600m
I would put troys on everthing having deep pockets, magpull next.
