Just received two Magpul Daka pouches for holding ammo/brass and thought I'd post pic of their packaging... Great sense of humor!

Uses for the clear plastic bag holding the actual bag are both practical and creative... especially the last one about how NOT to use them.

And just in case anyone is considering purchasing these, I bought the XL version and they will EASILY hold 200+ rounds of 6.5 CM, and likely closer to 300+. I'm using them for bulk storage of rounds for range trips and the resulting empty brass. Very well constructed. Time will tell how they hold up but I'm quite confident no issues with punctures or tearing even with rough use.

Would probably recommend the Large version for ammo storage as these are pretty big.

Never had a Magpul product I didn't like. Never seen the comedic prose on their packaging,. I like it! Thanks for the heads up, will have to give the Daka pouches a try.

Here are a few pictures of the bag loaded with 250 6.5CM rounds and a few objects for reference of size: 556 20rd PMag, 762 20rd PMag and an 8.5x11" sheet of paper. Folded picture is to show the remaining space in the pouch even with 200+ rounds. Plenty of space.

Love my Daka pouches. The medium pouch will easily hold over 100 loaded rounds of 6 Dasher for a day's worth of match shooting, and the small pouch will hold 100 fired pieces of Dasher brass. I carry both with me in lieu of ammo boxes.

I keep all of my suppressor paper work in these....and other odds and ends, like skittles and cheese crackers, these pouches are basically a tactical version of my fanny pack...with a little 550 chord they can be made into a nice loin cloth with pocket

bought the large for shooting 308 and it works like a champ! Think the medium would be better if I needed to carry different calibers in a pack or have more "packable" parts though.....

The joke is $29 for a heavy plastic bag.

(I bought one too and it's nice but come on... Ziplocs do the same thing.)

I appreciate Magpul gear and have lots of it but know the clever branding/marketing is built into the cost. You don't see any humor when you buy some Chinese lowest bidder crap where 1/100th of a penny is shaved. You gotta have a nice profit margin to be fun!

I don't disagree that there is likely a GREAT margin on these however I'll also say that the material used is super tough. I've been using heavy duty ziplocs for a while to store ammo/brass (you can see one of the ziplocs inside the picture above.) That double bagged Ziploc is two range trips old (less than a week) and it's got tons of punctures, cuts and tears without any real use.

Add to the fact that they can be used as extra rear/front or pillow style bags by filling them with appropriate material and I still like the concept. The small are ~$15, 20 for medium, 22 for large and 27 for extra large. Honestly, it's not all that bad if you have a use for them. Also nice to have multiple colors for different calibers/equipment for quick identification in pack.

Are they a necessity? No way. Are they worth the money for their build/purpose/durability? I think so, but everyone has different needs. But I do also appreciate the humor; it softens the blow when paying for a $20 "Ziploc". Lol.
