Sidearms & Scatterguns Mags for a Kimber Ultra Carry II

Anyone know if the Kimber UC II uses the Wilson combat Commander or Officer 7 round mags? I'm thinking the Officer mags but trying to confirm. Not my pistol, uncle handed to me and asked me to find him 2 Wilsons. Thanks in advance.

I keep a 7 in it.....keep two of the WC 8's at the ready on the other side. YES they fit, but will stick out the bottom.

I believe that you want the Wilson 47,OXCB magazine:

The standard "47,OX" magazine has a thicker base pad that extends perhaps a 1/4" from the mag well. For many people, it isn't an objectionable amount of protrusion, but this is going to depend upon the carry method.

You can then get a couple of the "47DOXB" mags to carry as spares. These are a full-length 8-round mag, but with a special extended baseplate to prevent over-insertion in the shorter Officer-length magwell.

I would Stick to the Kim Pro 7 round mags, they're fine, no FTF problems with any I've had. Flush fit too.

I know that you said that you're particularly looking at Wilsons, but I've found through the years that I got the best reliability from Tripp Research's Cobra Mags in my Kimbers

Wilsons have done me pretty well myself, but on occassion i've run across feeding issues with them. Could have been the guns, but when I went to the tripps, neither I or anyone else I know that uses them has ever had an issue.

Thanks guys. I've run Wilson's and Kim Pro mags in mine. I've got a full size though. Not sure what's going to work better for him. I'm gonna let him try a couple of mine and I'm gonna buy and try some of the Cobra Mags. I shoot a lot more than he does so I'll probably just take his gun and break in it for him and figure out what feeds best in it. My wife sure likes the feel of that Ultra Carry though. I'm betting she ends up with one before long.
