Magtech/CBC 168gr. HPBT

Anyone run any of this stuff through their gun? Just curious how dependable/accurate it may be. I picked up 3 boxes(50 rds a box) that a distributor had, sold two, and kept one for myself to try it out. Hopefully it's decent stuff.

Looks like the same stuff I got, haven't sold much though. I don't have a semi .308 to try them in. I did run some through the Savage 10 bolt gun, cases were a little sticky but were accurate from a factory barrel. 1" groups all day long.

For what it's worth, Magtech is the only brass cased .308, that chokes my SR 25 ECC. I've run everything from SAS, to German DAG, through her without any trouble, but for some reason, my ECC doesn't dig the Magtech.

I had great luck with magtech FMJ in my DPMS SASS and it had a really tight chamber. Also the CBC brass reloads quite well.

If I could get a bunch of that 168gr stuff for pre-bullshit prices I'd grab it. Should be quality for practice or general target/steel use.

I've fired 300 or rounds of this through a couple .308's. Good stuff and its available. The brass is nice and uniform, on 3 or 4 reloads with some of it. I've found it to be 1.5 MOA or better across a couple different platforms. I wouldn't hesitate to stock up if I could find a case of them at reasonable price again.

CBC has a couple different ones out there...gold box and blue box. Ran a box of the gold 147 FMJ thru the PTR 91. Had no issues. Haven't tried it in the AR10 though. The store I got it from seemed a bit more cautious of the blue boxed ammo.?? Fwiw, I sorted the brass after cleaning and the CBC brand had more wt. variance than any of the other brands I had at the time. Be interested to hear of your experience with it. For price on par or lower than CBC, I've found PPU a better deal.
