Gentlemen,
I am in need of some advice. Let me give you info on the rifle and then the problem.
Rifle:
DPMS in name only.
Kreiger 1-10 18" SS barrel.
PRI rifle length free float forearm.
RRA NM two stage trigger.
AAC 7.62SD MOD 08 suppressor.
Ammo:
Lake City LR118 175GR standard issue.
Glass:
Burris Eliminator II 4 x 12
Problem.
This weapon is zeroed at 200 meters. I fired the rifle yesterday and was SHOCKED to see a 12" point of impact difference. Same target, same lot # ammo. The only difference was temperature. 80 degrees vs. 50 degrees yesterday.
Now, I did break the cardinal rule of adjusting the scope trying to chase the zero in without letting the barrel cool. 32 rounds fired during that exercise.
Any idea why so much change in POI between final 3 shot group from last trip and this 3 shot group?
