What a piece of shit scumbag this guy is. Be sure to view the source link at the bottom so you can see the embedded video of this douche bag.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Claiming to be “one of the most skilled snipers of his era,” Brian Leonard Creekmur has everything you would expect of a retired Navy SEAL.  Memorabilia and old uniforms decorate his home, and he even possesses what seem to be the photos and military discharge papers to prove his claim.

Creekmur even managed to fool CNN‘s Soledad O’Brien, it seems, after he tweeted about the all death he witnessed in combat and she re-tweeted to her 140,000+ followers.  More significantly, The Daily Mail reports that Creekmur was regularly in contact with the network to offer his so-called expertise on various news stories.

But after a month-long investigation by News Channel 3, following a tip by a suspicious woman Creekmur was courting on the internet, the man has been outed as a giant fraud.

Screen-shot-2012-05-06-at-6.39.40-PM.png

News Channel 3 explains:

Creekmur’s tall tales of Navy SEAL service unraveled when he was wooing a woman through the Internet. He was telling her he loved her and sending her real estate listings for houses they could share. But when she couldn’t verify any of his stories, she started searching the Internet for information on fake SEALs.

A guy can get away with that for a long time. But eventually he will trip up. He`ll say something to the wrong person, male or female, just doesn`t make sense, and hell hath no fury. He said it to the wrong woman…

Creekmur was so confident in his alter-ego that he even signed many of his emails: “Brian Creekmur, United States Navy SEAL Sniper, retired.”

But why is he doing all of this? The woman who helped expose Creekmur speculates it is either to gain the trust of women, people with money, or both.

“This is why the story that you are doing is so important. While some of this is amusing at the lengths some clown will go, you are saving a lot of people a lot of trouble.”

“He’s gone above and beyond. He’s a very strange guy,” the woman remarked.

“This is why the story that you are doing is so important. While some of this is amusing at the lengths some clown will go, you are saving a lot of people a lot of trouble.”

How embarrassing to be him. Now his whole sense of identity is gone. He has been living this lie so long that I bet it will be very difficult for him to adjust to being a douche bag from now on. Before he was Brian Creekmur, former SEAL Sniper. Now he is just Brian Creekmur, current wannabee SEAL Sniper. It's too bad that someone can so easily fake something so impressive as being a SEAL Sniper or any Sniper for that matter. At least he was outed. Talk about your world caving in, even if it was a fake world.

Nah, he's been a douchebag all along, he just won't have a cover story.

Retired5352, he lays pretty low and changes his user name and title pretty often, it was Retired5401 just a few weeks ago and several others in the past and was Trident-2 when he first started posting. His title was, "S.F.Chief", "Master Chief" and is now just "Chief". You'd have to go way back to his first posts to see his subtle hints and he changed his name right after informally "claiming" to be a SEAL. He even lists his homepage as www.navsoc.navy.mil He might be legit but the name/title changes and disguised hints at being a SEAL make me seriously doubt it.

EDIT:
Link to the thread that started it all and his 3" 1000yrd groups and there are other threads too.

Re: MAN CLAIMING TO BE A NAVY SEAL EXPOSED AS A FRAUD

I know you can get in big trouble for impersonating a police officer so why don't people get arrested for something like this?

Is that verified? The user by that name Was posting about the shadow ops lower receiver, one post in that chain referred to him as "Marc". That watchdawg user registered in 2009, still with only 3 posts.

Re: MAN CLAIMING TO BE A NAVY SEAL EXPOSED AS A FRAUD

You actually can get charged with "Stolen Valor" which is a crime. Hopefully this douche will get that treatment.

Because a person impersonating a police offer is doing so to gain a position of trust where as a fake SEAL is doing it for notoriety, not trust. SEALs aren't law enforcement and that's the key distinction.

Creekmur was so confident in his alter-ego that he even signed many of his emails: “Brian Creekmur, United States Navy SEAL Sniper, retired.”

this seems lie a dead giveaway to me. Even if he was legit, i would think he was ghey for signing letters this way.

Re: MAN CLAIMING TO BE A NAVY SEAL EXPOSED AS A FRAUD

I'm relatively new to "The Hide" and usually keep my opinions to myself, but I cannot just let this go. I lost my son Lucas "Star" Starcevich in 2007. He was killed in Southern Baghdad.

http://www.starcevich.org/luke.htm

This piece of shit dishonors all of those that fought and sacrificed for this great country.

Unfortunately, this kind of trash simply moves on. He still sleeps well at night because he has no conscience. He'll change "the facts" slightly and be right back at it again.

My sincere thanks to Sniper's Hide for providing this forum.

but how easy is it for news media to vet a source like that. there are seal recruiters who can chase that info with 1 email.

You know that the liberal media loves to chase the negativity. They just wanted to pick up all the dirt they possibly could along the way. It would be to easy for them to just call it in and get someone to tell them the truth.

Re: MAN CLAIMING TO BE A NAVY SEAL EXPOSED AS A FRAUD

You're talking about a group of people that still call them "Seal Team 6"... You of all people here Joe should be able to testify to the stupidity of the media in certain areas.

Re: MAN CLAIMING TO BE A NAVY SEAL EXPOSED AS A FRAUD

Idiot. I've run into a dickhead or two claiming to be a Marine before, most of the time saying they are a sniper. Disgusting behavior, I would understand if was 15 but a grown man lying about that? reminds me of Bill Paxton's character in True Lies.
