Manners discontinuing elite hunter “a” models?

I don’t see the EH1A or EH5A on their website anymore, and I read somewhere that the MCS-TA is being discontinued. Anybody have any info?

On their stock builder for an EH1, I see an option for “adjustable cheek spacer” so would that be similar hardware to the LRH system instead of the KMW loggerhead hardware?

Roger that. Probably a lot easier to balance a hunting rifle w/ a spacer, but that KMW hardware is just so damn nice.

I agree, the "a" stocks look nicer also.

WTH?? Was this a cost-cutting measure or something? The KMW hardware is a MUCH more refined way to handle things IMO, and it’s ambidextrous. The spacer cheek piece doesn’t look like it’s very off-hand friendly, though I guess most don’t shoot off-hand hardly at all unless a stage calls for it.

Surprising. Not a big fan of that spacer system, kind of a pain in the ass for anything other than an ultra light hunting build. Kmw hardware is so much nicer.

It should remain an option… all my EH1’s (4) have the KMW hardware.

First McMillan dumped Terry’s hdwr for a POS of their own design and now manners has done the same.

Personally, if I wanted one of this stocks I’d get them without and send it to Joe Ducos to install the KMW Loggerhead.

I don’t think that’s accurate… Loggerhead hardware is still on the T2A GAP, T4A, T5A, TCS, PRS-1&2 and the LRT stocks.

I just started this thread to confirm if the EH1A and the like went away.
