I just wanted to give an update/review on my March scope I used on my AK grizzly hunting trip. I have it mounted on a Skunkworks 300WM in Badger Rings. The eye box can be a little tricky on a high power setting. I assume that's pretty normal for a scope with that much of a power range.
I zeroed it in before I left and had it in a GRT soft case inside a Pelican IM3300 rifle case so it was well protected.
When I got to Alaska I checked zero and it was way off. I know the baggage guys can be rough on guns, but I would think a $3500 scope would hold zero that well protected. I'm also having issues with the turret allen screws staying tight. They were all loose when I got there. I cranked them down really tight and by the time I got home they were all loose again.
Before I left I went to put in a few mils of elevation and the turret just spun, no clicks. The screws had come loose again.
The glass is great and I love the reticule (FML-1). I have to say this is my favorite reticle I've used for hunting. Overall I love the glass and the reticule, but I'm a little put off that it lost zero and the turret screws come loose so easy. I'm sure some loctite will fix the screw problem, but I really don't like having to loctite turret screws. The illumination is awesome on this scope. I have the 'daylight' module and it worked great for those foggy Alaska mornings.
