OK first I did search around to find an answer, I could not find it specifically for what I have going on.

I have bergara 6.5cm bolt action rifle. 419 20moa base. 0 MOA Spuhr with a Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25. I installed the scope and went to bore sight the rifle today. Looking through the scope after putting the bore on top of a target 100 yards away, the crosshairs were about 24MOA low. From where zero was on the scope, I only had about four or five clicks before I ran out of travel. Adjusting down. This should be pretty straightforward. I’ve mounted scopes before. This is the first one or a mounted in a Spuhr. What am I getting wrong here? I had asked around about what type of scope mount (Spuhr) I should get, and everyone was saying 0MOA.

I did loosen the scope mount and tighten it back up just to make sure. Same results not being able to move that reticle up enough. Thanks for any advice on this

You’re just hitting the turrets zero stop. Loosen the set screws in on the turret, run the turret up 24moa (ideally a little more to give yourself some more room), retighten the set screws and dial back down to zero. Zero the rifle and then zero out the turrets.

Run the elevation turret up as much as you can, reset the zero stop, do it again until you get your zero. It has absolutely nothing to do with your scope mount.
So with these scopes, they have that button you push. If I push that button and move in the down position, I run out of travel. Are you talking about taking the cap

I figured it out. I thought by pressing the button on the turret that allowed you to go down the full amount. I actually had to loosen the turret and spinet. Sorry about the confusion

Yeah so with those turrets you push the button to unlock but you need to actually unscrew the set screws, disengage the cap from the turret, and reset the zero to get more travel.
