I hear they are small. And you can walk through the woods/grass/swamp with a shotgun and blast them as they jump up to run. Sounds fun.
Come a little north and smoke all the white tails you can find. If you are halfway responsible and start knocking on farmers doors wanting to shoot doe only I bet you get more ground to hunt then you know what to do with. Might be the same with sika deer and farmers too idk

I’ve never done any game hunting with a shotgun but it sounds like a blast lol!
It’s definitely a different world when it comes to hunting out here. It cracks me up to see bag limits of like 10 for deer.
You can get crop damage permits and shoot basically unlimited numbers. Those long leg rats are super over populated here

No, I’m at Ft. Meade near Annapolis. I’ve made it over to the shore a few times just exploring but I’m assuming Blackwater is where most of the hunting is?

I went on a golfing trip to Ocean City and I saw a couple out in a field. I am from MT, and when I looked out there, my mind couldn't quite register what I saw. I could tell it wasn't a deer, it just had a different body shape. Did that dude in the video drag that thing whole across that muddy ass field? Why not gut it?
He probably didn't want to feed the coyotes. And, did you play Eagles Landing? Used to be great little BBQ place just past the golf course on the way to Castaways.
I did play Eagles Landing. Nice place to play golf. Coming from MT, it was definitely some different country to look at. Hope to make it back next year again. Can't you shoot coyotes in MD? I always consider coyotes a nice little bonus target the day after if they are on a gut pile.
You can shoot them, but they usually come in at night. Most of those guys are farmers and are in bed shortly after sundown. Especially during deer seasons.
I just listened (yesterday) to one of the meateater podcasts where they were talking about this. You should download the podcast and listen to it. It made me want to go and try it - to the point that I actually researched it. 2019 Regs aren’t out yet, but I believe they will be by July 2nd.
