Advanced Marksmanship Math for close shots?

I'd like to get a little help with the math on figuring dope for close shots. From a 100yd zero, how does one figure dope for a 40yd shot? I've always just done close shots instinctively and done well... but I'd like to know exactly how to do the math to figure these shots precisely.

Does a sloped base such as 20moa enter into the equation? Obviously zero range, as well as sight height would be key factors.

Go to JBM Ballistics. Enter the data for your load. Set the minimum range to zero, the maximum range to 100 yards, and set the range increment to whatever you like - 1 foot perhaps.
