I believe it had to do with state law in Florida. His resignation set up a special election in a district that is a republican strong hold, so congress wouldn't lose a seat. Also, I saw once he resigned there was an end to the investigation in congress. BTW, I thought that was already over.Why did he resign from Congress ?
