sold $ This rifle is a Mauser 66 commercial barreled action in 30-06 that has been glass bedded into an original Mauser 66-SP Sniper Rifle stock. The rifle has a 24" barrel that has a carbon fiber shroud for added stiffness. The shroud can be removed if you so desire. The trigger breaks at a crisp 3 lbs. This rifle yields sub-moa accuracy. I have an original M66 SP and this rifle is more accurate. The rifle is in 30-06 and you can see two typical sub-moa 5 shot groups below using Federal Gold medal Match and Hornady match ammo. I'm sure even better results can be obtained through handloading. The Mauser 66 is a switch barrel system and barrels/calibers can be changed by simply losening one screw. Additional barrels/calibers are available on the internet through sites like GunBroker and GunsInternational. The Mauser 66 and 66 SP Sniper actions are identical. This rifle has an original M66 SP picatinny scope mount. Because this rifle isn't completely original, I'm letting it go for $shipped to your FFL.
