Mauser Model 201 22LR

Do any of you have any expierence with one of these. It is a impressive piece and quailty is top notch. How do they shoot and what is the value for a 90% rifle. I may have to add it to my collection if the price becomes right.

My buddy has one it is one of the most accurate 22s I have ever shot. We were shotting the legs off a spider at 100 yds. He paid $1200.00 for his 98% about 6 years ago from cabelas.

I have an old Mauser my great grandfather brought back from WWII the stock is broken but I rigged a stock for shooting and the gun shoots very very well. Not sure if it's the same model but I hear Mauser 22's typically shoot very well!

I went back to the shop today and made a trade offer which the owner accepted after several minuts of discussion. I then filled out the paperwork and at that point he backed out of the deal. The gun store owner is not very popular and most agree he can not be dealed with, I guess he proved that thoery correct!! I left and said I would not be back. It was a nice piece though.

We were shooting at my buddys house he has a 100 yd range. We were shooting from a bench. There were spiders (daddy long legs) on the targets and we were able to shoot some legs off of them. We were using Federal 711 40 grain. He had 3.5x10 kahles on the rifle. I was looking through a spotting scope.
It is a great gun and I have been looking for one myself but I dont want to spend the money when I find one, which is not that easy.
