Has anybody done this? The McCrees is at such a good price I'm thinking of picking one up but I wanted to see if anybody has used the XLR butt stock on the McCrees Chassis?

Is this considered a faux pas amongst the die hard McCrees vs. XLR fans? Kind of like rails on a 1911 or putting a laser max on a 338 Lapua Magnum?
I had a MaCrees on my SPR and the XLR on my Howa and thought about the hybrid idea.... then sold the MCrees and bought another XLR. There is NOTHING wrong with the MaCrees chassis at all, and it served me well. It is just after shooting both I found my preference and went with it instead of trying to put half an apple with half an orange.

I remember seeing a Mcree/XLR hybrid on here a few months ago, ill look for the link. Personally, I would just stick with the Mcree butt stock. I have had zero issues with mine. Ive never owned an XLR, but I do run an XLR cheek rest on my manners T4. Don't know if that counts..

I like that allot, although I would think it would have more appeal if the stock were color matched.
BackCountry nice work!!! Thank you. Yeah I want to like it but the colors are just fucking it up for me. Is anybody here really good at photoshop and have the ability to make the stock and barrel all black?
