Gunsmithing Mcmillan A6 flexing touching the barrel

So I picked up an A6 for my tl3 the stock has a m24 barrel inlet and I am running an m24 hawk hill barrel. And when I squeeze the foreend and barrel together they easily touch. But it's free floated when I dont squeeze it. I have already sanded it slightly to help open up the barrel channel a little more and it definitely does have more room. But still touches when squeezed. Should I open it up some more or not worry about it and considered it good. This will be my primary match rifle in 25creed. My current rifle which is an 6.5 creed and marksman contour in an MTU barrel channel in an A5 stock doesn't touch when its squeezed together.

I’d probably just avoid squeezing it while shooting...
