Precision Rifle Gear MDT ACC Elite Chassis Circlips

Bought MDT ACC Elite Chassis system, there are 2 x silver circlips in the buttstock box. Does anyone know what there for? nothing in instructions..

For the cheek piece and lop, if I recall. You can snap them on the grooved rod for a "return to zero" if you remove them for cleaning
