MDT Mags + Area 419 Universal Extension: Compatible?

Are the MDT DSSF-style mags compatible with the Area 419 universal extension? I'm guessing the A419 is designed for the slimmer AICS footprint, and the MDT mags are too wide at the base?

Have two that work perfectly. All I did was add this per Short Action Precision.
