MDT XRS Forend Weight / Stabilization Wings

Alright first off, if this ends up in the wrong area Mods feel free to move it to the proper one.

So to any MDT XRS chassis owners, I designed and 3D printed these prototype forend weight/side panel/stabilizing wings. I’m in the process of getting them quoted to be made out of steel. Based on initial design numbers they are roughly 3lbs per side for a total of 6lbs of added weight.

They will replace the plastic side cover on the forend and add 10 more mlok pockets for a total 13 mlok pockets which equates to 6.5 mlok slots. The three counterbores for the attachment screws will be QD cups for for accessories or slings.

I’m going to cerakote them in fde and black to match the chassis colors. The color in the pictures is just the closest color filament I had.

I’m trying to gage interest to see if this is an accessory other precision rifle shooters might want and if I should make more than a set for myself. If anyone is interested I was thinking about selling for $350 a set.

They look nice, probably very functional, 350 is over half the cost of the chassis itself though.

I get it. Isnt really designed or meant for casual shooters. I was making them for myself to fill a need and increase weight of my rifle for PRS. These are 2.5x more weight than the heaviest weight kit at 1.75x the price. Also adds more mlok and QD attachments that don't exist on the platform. So yes, they're more expensive, but they also fill a space that other weights and stabilizing products do for other chassis'.
