Can you give any insight to how these two compare?

The Swarovski SLC is technically ever so slightly superior optically, however, depending on how critical your eyesight is you may or may not even be able to detect it. They are that close

Yes. Swarovski stopped including the tripod adapter and now offer it for about $150 as an optional accessory

I just got the Meopta Meostar 15x56 binos that I ordered from Doug last week. I was going to go with the Swaros, but decided to save almost a grand. I don't regret it one bit.

I haven't given it a lot of thought yet, but will probably go with the Outdoorsman adapter. I've read that Meopta's own tripod adapter won't work on the 15x56 binos.

I feel that as a supporting vendor here it is my place to share what I’ve learned growing up in the optics industry. It’s not just about making a sale it’s about sharing knowledge and helping folks make the correct choice of optic to serve their need.
The most known or the most expensive is not always the best choice. That’s the easiest choice.
There’s many different options and it’s my place to assist in making sense of it all and to help the members here.
I’m glad you like the Meopta. IMO they offer an exceptional array of binoculars at a reasonable price compared to much more expense but equal quality.

Had my MeoPro 10x42 HDs for a day now from Cameraland, and have to say that I'm very impressed for the dollars spent! Very bright and crisp even in low light, thanks for pointing me this direction. Great service from Doug and Cameraland, thanks alot!

Well, I am using the Meopro 10x42 now in Yellowstone NP. I can tell you it is wonderful glass. I don't think that the Vortex razor at 2x the price is really worth the small perceivable difference. The Meopros are really a bargain for the quality level.

Can you say how the 8x power Meopro compares to the 8x Razor? I’m using 8x sets for hand held observation exercises, as sone say a 10x is overly much.
