Micron Seating Die and Projectile Compatibility

Recently learned that Hornady projectiles don’t work with Micron seating dies. The die causes a deep ring around the tip of the bullet due to how Hornady designs them.

Is anyone aware of any other projectiles that don’t work with Micron dies?

I’m seating regular 105 BTHP’s.

I have already polished the inside of the seating stem.

What did Bullet Central say about this when contacted?

It’s normal because of how Hornady makes their bullets. I assume they meant how they make their BTHP’s.

They did say they were working on a ok me thing to fix this but they couldn’t elaborate.

I’m thinking it’s just the regular BTHP. I don’t think the ELDs have this issue because they’re made differently.
