microsoft joins google on banning 2A items

Re: microsoft joins google on banning 2A items

What is an airgauge knife?
Wonder what the rules would look like if the NRA and other gun owner organizations all called for a member boycott when they see anti second things happening. A little bad press goes a long way, just look at the shooting in florida. Justified shooting and now he is facing charges because of political pressure.
I have not shopped at Kmart since they banned the sale of handgun ammo after columbine. The NRA called for a boycott then.

I'm using Bing as the homepage. What others are out there other than dogpile.com?

Re: microsoft joins google on banning 2A items

This isn't anti-2A. It's pro private property rights.

All they are saying is that they will not accept an advertisement from a company if it's an ad for a weapon.

It's their right, as a private entity, to display whatever ads they see fit.

They are not hiding any content. They are not censoring anything. All they are saying is that as a seller of ad space, they reserve the right to not display ads for guns.

BFD.

If you feel differently, then you must also feel that an ad company, such as those who own billboard space, should be compelled to show ads for abortion clinics, or advocacy for gay marriage, even if the ad company does not support gay marriage or abortion.

I just typed in "ammunition" and received more links than I could look to ammo sales, both local and online.

I typed in "ammunition sales" and I received over 18M hits, all of which go to ammo sales sites.

This policy is in reference to their ad sales. They won't sell ad space if what is being advertised is a gun.

BFD.

And its my right to tell them to FO and use another search engine. Just another company cracking when pressured by the commies.

Re: microsoft joins google on banning 2A items

This is about ammunition, ect. ads on the bing homepage, ads you pay bing for so they can display for you, not search links. If they are selling it, they get to say what they are selling. I dont like it, but it's not my company.

not surprising..but nothing works better than competition. if more people start using other search engines they their bottom line decreases in the long run

Has anyone disputed that?

All I said was that this isn't some pinko conspiracy to keep you from exercising your 2A rights. And it certainly has nothing to do with some phantom "commie conspiracy", but with a company making a certain choice.

Would you fault a bible shop if they refused to show an ad for guns? Or would they too be part of the commie conspiracy?

Re: microsoft joins google on banning 2A items

You can look at it any way you like. Use the "what ifs" and "buts", still doesn't change the big picture.

duckduckgo.com is another good one...
